Originally written by  John Denver whilst riding in a ski lift in the picturesque Aspen, Colorado. It beautifully expresses the deep and profound embodiment of love he had for his wife, Annie,  showcasing the tenderness and passion that inspired the timeless lyrics.

 

A hauntingly beautiful piece of music that I composed over 20 years ago, this work has become an integral and essential part of any show I perform. Its enchanting Celtic sound evokes the timeless story of St Columba and his arduous voyage from his beloved Ireland to the serene Scottish Isle of Iona. Mirrored in the music are the profound themes of uncertainty, guidance, and unwavering faith as our brave protagonist travels with 10 or so of his fellow monks across the vast blue sea, facing both challenges and moments of reflection along their journey.

This arrangement of Sting's Fields of Gold is similar to Eva Cassidy's, capturing the essence of the original while adding a unique touch. It’s a timeless and sensitive arrangement that elevates Sting's song.

Writing music is the most authentic way for me to express my emotions. "Rest" is a poignant composition inspired by the profound loss of my beloved mother. This piece encapsulates the sorrow my family and I experienced in her absence. We deeply miss her warmth, wisdom, laughter, and her extraordinary ability to make everyone feel welcome. She was a remarkable woman who loved us all unconditionally.

 

I have had the privilege of performing on cruise ships for the past 33 years. Honing  and developing my show to suit audiences from all four corners of the world. Casting a wide net with repertoire and creating a memorable experience for the high seas traveller.
